What type of investor are you?

Analyzing the different investor profiles that exist in the market place

There are basically 4 investor profiles that I can think of. Observers, Owners, Speculators and Investors – and each have their very own distinct characteristics.

Observers are the types of people who love to talk a big game, love to strategize about investments, love to give their opinions on what to do and not do, but never, ever, ever pull the trigger and invest themselves. They have the capacity to be successful investors but simply choose never to invest.

Owners love the sense of ownership but do not think in terms of investments. They are collectors in a sense and value rarely passes through their thoughts prior to making purchases.

Speculators are risk-taking individuals who love the thrill of fast and easy money. They are gamblers. They make purchase decisions based on hypotheticals and assumptions, and not proven facts or trends.

Investors are individuals who look at each purchase as, well, an investment. Investors want their net worth to grow and follow simple and proven models to get there.
